Another popular item in Northern Ontario is the ice shack (ice hut) woodstove. We took an actual woodstove and scaled it down to fit in a typically sized ice hut. We then built it out of 1/8" steel and fully welded it together. The result is a compact product that won't take up all the room in a small ice shack. But yet puts out enough heat to keep you extremely comfortable while you enjoy a day of fishing on the lake. You can also bring along a small fry pan to cook your catch, heat some beans, or fry some hot dogs in case you don't catch any fish. Nothing tastes better than coffee boiled on our woodstove after catching a nice large fish.
